Head of Investigations
Location: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo
The Wildlife Conservation Society is looking for a Head of Investigations to strengthen the response to countering wildlife trafficking in Central Africa (Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of Congo. The position will focus on combatting trafficking of protected species to urban centers (Brazzaville, Kinshasa, and Pointe Noire) for domestic consumption, or for transit and export. Working in close collaboration with existing government partners and the Wildlife Conservation Society program staff, the Head of Investigations will provide specialized technical assistance to map out the different trafficking supply chains, understand the trafficking networks involved, and develop and implement an urban-based law enforcement strategy.

The Nature Conservancy is looking for a Sustainable Hydropower Coordinator for its Gabon Program to develop, manage and advance The Nature Conservancy Gabon's sustainable hydropower programs. He/she will be working with partners from the private and public sector to create models at the project level and at the system-level (basin, national) that deliver better outcomes for conservation, while meeting national energy and development goals; and that can become model within the region or beyond.
Family Planning Advisor
Location: Arusha, Tanzania
The Family Planning Advisor will provide leadership and technical support as a subject matter expert for The Nature Conservancy conservation initiatives in Africa. The Family Planning Advisor advises conservation teams and the Africa Region on how to better integrate family planning into The Nature Conservancy conservation projects. This position will identify the top leverage points for increasing uptake of voluntary family planning services in the rural areas where The Nature Conservancy works in Africa, develop a family planning strategy for the region, and implement it.
Communications Specialist
Location: Arusha, Tanzania
The Communications Specialist will lead communications and outreach for a dynamic project and partnership of organizations that are working together to promote the health of northern Tanzania's rangelands and human communities. The Communications Specialist will manage and expand communications platforms of the Northern Tanzania Rangelands Initiative and leads communications initiatives for activities supported through the Endangered Ecosystems - Northern Tanzania project. He/she prepares written and visual communication materials, provides editorial review of technical and performance reports, and leads updates to website and social media.

The Sahara Conservation Fund is looking for a seasoned and highly effective French-speaking conservation and/or development professional for the position of Project Director of a new EU-funded programme in the central African country of Chad. This key position requires an experienced candidate with excellent inter-personal and diplomatic skills, with a proven track record of achieving conservation results reconciling the needs of local communities - in this case mostly nomadic and semi-nomadic pastoralists - with the conservation of critically endangered arid land species. The programme is based in the Ouadi Rimé-Ouadi Achim Faunal Reserve, site of the ground-breaking project to reintroduce the extinct-in-the-wild scimitar-horned oryx.
