by Portal Web Editor last modified Feb 23, 2020 08:51 PM
Wildlife Trafficking, the illegal cross-border trade in wildlife, is one of the largest transnational organized criminal activities alongside drug trafficking, arms and human trafficking. Most ivory (72% in 2014) is trafficked by sea due to the large volumes of ivory trafficked and minimal risk of interception and arrest. This webinar will showcase global and regional implications and trends of wildlife crime, emphasizing the considerable role maritime transport networks and sea ports play in wildlife trafficking.
