(DAI) manage the Venezuela: Confidence Building Initiative (Iniciativa para la Construcci?n de Confianza ? VICC), which provides small grants assistance in support of short-term, high-impact projects that emphasize democratic processes, conflict mitigation, civic education, confidence building, dialogue, and efforts to bring people together through focus on common goals for the future of Venezuela. It is implemented by Venezuelan NGOs, community organizations, universities, and the church. Its activities focus on the low-income stratum of society.
