Bean/Cowpea CRSP

The Bean/Cowpea Collaborative Research Support Program (CRSP) is a research and training program that supports international research partnerships to increase the availability of beans and cowpeas (which in the U.S. are mainly black-eyed peas). Participants, from the Latin America and Caribbean Region, East/Southern Africa Region, West Africa Region and the U.S., work in collaborative projects concentrating on all aspects of food handling from improved production technologies or strategies through food processing and the development of value-added products especially for urban markets.
